Facebook today improved its search with the addition of a drop-down list that instantaneously appears while you’re typing in your search query at the top search box. It will display people, events, groups and pages you’re connected with, but “also the connections of your friends and globally relevant results”.

Submitted as an entry for a local parody music video contest, Facebook State of Mind takes the Jay-Z and Alicia Keys song to a whole new level. Unlike Empire State of Mind’s love declaration to New York City, this Facebook version of the song, written by Alexander Miller and Justin Lang, pays tribute to everyone’s favorite social networking site of the moment.

I love New York t-shirts. You’ve seen them on friends, celebrities, and also braggarts who’ve never visited New York City. But the problem with the 80s I ♥ NY logo, printed on millions of plain white t-shirts worn around the world, is that the pop-style heart symbol is so last decade.
