Facebook virus alert: I saw this video on google

A new batch of Facebook viruses is currently annoying thousands of users of the social network. One of these pests is spreading through the link:

http://youtube.torrent-galaxy.in/

…followed by WHAT.pif, watch.htm or other filenames. The accompanying message is similar to:

I saw this video on google and i think this you!
I saw this video on google and i saw you ha,ha,ha!

The ambush destination site wants you to believe you’ll be watching a video called “Old People Rock!!!” on a YouTube channel by BreakingNYC, but advises you to first upgrade your Flash player:

We have detected that your missing or need to update your flash player. Please click here to install the latest Flash plugin.

But beware, the fake Flash Player update allows this Facebook worm to take over your account and spread further through automated posts under your name on friends’ profiles and fan pages.

If you fell victim to this virus, change your Facebook password immediately. Everyone else, keep alert and don’t click suspicious links. Even if prompted, do NOT upgrade your Flash Player. Just go to the official Adobe website instead.
