If you’re a hardcore Maddict, you’ll have at least heard of Mad Men Yourself by now, but for everyone else we’d like to point to this web-based application that allows you to create an avatar or Facebook profile picture in a true sixties vintage illustration style (courtesy of Dyna Moe). The site was launched last summer to promote the start of the third season of Mad Men, a critically-acclaimed, American TV-series about a fictional advertising agency on New York City’s Madison Avenue, called Sterling Cooper. But even if you don’t know or like the show, it’s still fun to create your alter ego wearing smooth 60s suits or skirts and accessories. You can save the result as an avatar and then upload it manually to Facebook, or save it for use as your desktop wallpaper.
