PETA Letterbombs DKNY

Facebook doesn’t allow photos of naked women, so it looks like PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has resolved to Facebook letterbombing for their online anti-fur campaign. Early on Cyber Monday 2010, a group of 16 PETA protesters letterbombed the Facebook Page of fashion designer Donna Karan, spelling out “DK Bunny Butcher” with their profile pictures. The New York based designer has been in PETA’s crosshairs for a long time, but instead of defacing one of her flagship stores they pulled an attack on her virtual Wall.

Below is a screenshot of the “DK Bunny Butcher” message on DKNY’s Page (image via ctnews.com)

The letterbomb was still intact on DKNY’s wall at the time of writing ─along with hundreds of comments supporting the animal rights group─ leaving us wondering how and when the Donna Karan PR will respond.
