A Life On Facebook (VIDEO)

Remember Google’s 2010 Super Bowl ad Parisian Love? French CG artist Maxime Luère now directed a Facebook version of the boy meets girl online narrative. A Life On Facebook tells the story of a young man called Alex Droner, through a series of status updates, photo uploads, messages and even a bunch of pokes. Carefully orchestrated to the fantastic “Paint It Black” song by The Rolling Stones, we’re given a voyeuristic look at Alex’ life in New York City and his relationship woes  from the moment he signs up for a Facebook account… until he logs out.
The story’s protagonist does not really exist of course, but it appears you can “Like” Alex Droner on Facebook to see his latest updates and uploads. The poke-a-holic Diana Houston has a page too, but we doubt it’s an “official” one.

The wonderful video leaves us with two unsolved mysteries though. Who is Helene? And why do Alex and Diana talk about “Lorem Ipsum” so much ;)
UPDATE: After millions of views, the original video has been removed from Vimeo and YouTube per request of ABKCO Records, the independent New York record label that owns the rights to “Paint It Black” by The Rolling Stones. We’ve found these “mirrors” for now, but they’re likely to be deleted soon too.
