Microsoft’s Bing to index Tweets and Status Updates

In a move to overtrump king Google, Microsoft has announced that it will add real time Twitter and Facebook status updates to Bing‘s search results. Launched last May, Bing is Microsoft’s latest venture in the search engine industry where Google reigned since most of us were still squeezing spots. Luckily, not all of the 40 million status updates that are posted on Facebook every day will appear in the search results because we will have the privacy controls to make them public or not.

No word on when will all of this will go live, but we’ll keep you informed.
