Happy birthday to us: reface.me turns 1!

This week, reface.me officially turns one year old. And what a freshman year it has been!

In our first 365 days, we welcomed 1,153,269 absolute unique visitors from 209 countries and territories, or 20,762 cities around the world. Since February 2009, we posted 400 articles and you left more than a 1,000 comments. Our most popular stories ─with hundreds of thousands of views each─ were Tag your friends in 15 Facebook tagging pictures, My Facebook Peeps: tag your friends as ducks and, of course, Rotate text and turn your status update upside down. Talking about turning things upside down, nearly 900 people participated in our first Upside Down Facebook Day back in June, 2009. Let’s see if we can do better this year!

We designed and are currently selling a dozen of Facebook-inspired t-shirts; our top sellers being the Become a Fan t-shirt and Your momma likes this. We also introduced our first Facebook application called Random Name Generators which already helped at least 27,000 people find their rapper, Harry Potter, and Twilight names. We received link love from major sites such as Mashable and Gizmodo, and we’ve been covered by Fox News Mobile right after we launched. Oh, and if you’ve seen us in any other popular media like tv shows or magazines, please let us know!

More than 6,000 people check out our site every consecutive day and our aim is to double this number in our sophomore year. We can surely use your help to achieve this goal! So become our fan and leave feedback on our updates, share reface.me on Facebook, bookmark us on Delicious, link to us from your blog or website, and visit us regularly to see what’s new. We wouldn’t be around if it wasn’t for you, so thank you so much!
