About Section Reappears On Facebook Pages

A quick heads up to Facebook Page administrators: the “About” section has reappeared after it was ditched with the introduction of the new Page layouts last month. The return of “About” makes sense, because other than the Page category underneath the title (eg. Website, or Musician/Band), an unknowing visitor of your Page had very limited information to tell what it was all about. Starting now, you can use this space (also known as “blurb” box) again to briefly explain the subject of your page.

The section has been reinstated right above the “likes” counter but, for some reason, it feels a bit misplaced to us. We would rather see it spicing up the rather simplistic bio, making it more descriptive like with personal Facebook profiles. If it remains at this location, we’d love for Facebook to make any included links clickable.

We found that you can now also quickly remove or change the order of your Page’s non-default tabs by clicking the Edit button below them.

About section reappears on Facebook Pages

Sadly, the “About Me” section on personal Facebook profiles is still gone and dearly missed by many.
