Facebook going Foursquare? Check-in feature may be in the works

Foursquare, beware! After Yelp nicked your idea, it could be that the big F is after you too. According to a source of the Silicon Alley Insider, Facebook is working on a Foursquare-esque check-in feature. Not that every Facebook user is jumping with excitement and eager to share their whereabouts with possible burglars, but the concept of check-ins has a lot of potential in a social networking context (and personally, I still have less than 10 “friends” on 4sq).
So Foursquare users, help spread the word and start sharing those check-ins and badge updates on Facebook (via this option) before The Zuck just adds “a line of code” and wipes 4sq off the map as described in the comic by Status: This.
