Al Qaeda terrorist appears in Facebook ad

We’ve repeatedly seen bad Facebook ads pass the social network site’s twisted validation procedure, and this one is no exception. Say hello to Mohammed Atta, easily one of the world’s most recognised terrorists since 9/11, and now the star of a Facebook ad campaign. Contrary to what you’d expect, his face is not used to promote airplane flying lessons, nor is it about an insurance covering terrorism. It’s about a car insurance available to young Michigan men. You’d wonder if the advertiser has a clue at all, or if he randomly found the image on Google. And Facebook? Just happy to charge his credit card.
