A skank is a dance style that originated in Jamaican dance halls back in the fifties. It was practiced to reggae, ska and later punk and grime music. This year, skanks have revived in the United Kingdom and they’re currently taking UK clubs by a storm. It started with a song called Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes by K.I.G. (see video), and other modern skanks like The Tribal Skank, Jump In The Middle And Skank and The Migraine Skank quickly followed.

A recent adaptation of The Migraine Skank is The Facebook Skank, which is a combination of dance moves and lyrics that refer to various features of the social networking site.
