Every bratwurst-and-beer aficionado knows that Oktoberfest 2009 ended last weekend with excessive indulgence in Germany, as well as local Biergärtens around the world. If you were one of the people “getting your lederhosen on” this year, then now that you’re finally sober you should find out your Oktoberfest name and share it with your Facebook friends.

You might have already noticed the green “Retweet” button we recently started placing at the beginning of our posts, which allows visitors to instantly “retweet” it while also keeping track of how many did. But since we’re a Facebook site in the first place, I wanted to add a similar button showing the number of Facebook shares.

When I visited the reface.me t-shirt shop at Skreened today to check on the sales of our official “I don’t read books, I read Facebook status updates” slogan t-shirt, a pleasant feeling overpowered me. No, we didn’t sell 100 tees overnight, but their staff decided to feature not just one but FOUR of our designs FRONT PAGE.
