Bra color status updates trend

Seeing a lot of colors in Facebook status updates lately? A momentary fad is sweeping Facebook in which female users put the colour of the bra they’re wearing as their status update. It started with white, red, and black, but we’re now seeing variations like “shiny black leather”, “hippy batik”, and “pasties”, which have become increasingly popular so it seems. The message that’s helping to spread the trend:
Some fun is going on…. just write the color of your bra in your status. Just the color, nothing else. And send this on to ONLY girls no men …. It will be neat to see if this will spread the wings of cancer awareness. It will be fun to see how long it takes before the men will wonder why all the girls have a color in their status… Haha .
Considered “too much information” by some ─I really don’t need to see my mom participating in this one─ there’s actually a good cause behind the bra colors status update trend: to raise awareness about breast cancer (although October is the official Breast Cancer Awareness month). It’s not really communicating this underlying message to me, but it does make Facebook a colorful place, doesn’t it?
