Facebook threat causes high school lockdown

The Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, Washington is on modified lockdown, since a threat was posted on Facebook on Wednesday night. School officials said the threat mentioned something about “pulling a Virginia Tech” on Kamiak, referring to the Virginia Tech massacre in April 2007. The police who are investigating the case, already identified “the person who made the threat as a former Kamiak graduate”.

Modified lockdown means the students are still going to classes, but all the doors are locked. Also any classes normally held outside are inside. There is more security on campus and a lot of parents volunteered to be at the school to help out and keep an eye out for anything suspicious, officials said.
