Millions of actions take place on Facebook every minute. In celebration of its 2010 Person of the Year, TIME magazine created this video showing what happens on the site in a typical 60 seconds.

All the data from the clip:

  • 50,304 shared links per minute
  • 66,168 photos tagged each minute
  • 74,204 event invites per minute
  • 79,364 wall posts per minute
  • 82,557 status updates every minute
  • 98,604 approved friend requests each minute
  • 135,849 photos uploaded per minute
  • 231,605 messages sent every minute
  • 382,861 likes
  • 510,404 comments every 60 seconds
