Baby named Facebook in Egypt
Facebook is born! In the year 2011.
No, really. A man in Egypt named his daughter “Facebook” in honor of the role it played in the country’s political revolution and ousting of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. CNN reports that “Gamal Ibrahim, a 20-something, gave his daughter the name “to express his joy at the achievements made by the January 25 youth,” according to a report in Al-Ahram, one of Egypt’s most popular newspapers.”
Of all the social networks out there, this one might not be the cutest sounding baby name. But are there any website names you’d actually consider for your child’s name?
By the way, the baby in the picture is the original F-baby, little Mark Zuckerberg.
