We have a weak spot for marketing campaigns that connect to your Facebook account and integrate your content into their creatives. Earlier this week we mentioned the Death Star Superlaser application by adidas, and today’s example, coming from no other than Facebook’s older rival MySpace, amazed us even more! If you sign into Fan Video with your Facebook account, your profile picture will appear in a video along with several famous bands and artists. One time, you’re 50 Cent‘s number one fan in a photo frame on his apartment’s wall, in the other video you’re on David Guetta‘s turntable slipmats. The one that creeped us out most was Alicia Keys singing a personal song directly to our picture standing on her piano. It looked so real it felt awkard. You can then share your personalized video on your Facebook Wall, or send it to your friends.
Other bands you can choose from include Lostprophets, Chipmunk, N-Dubz, Florence & The Machine and Pixie Lott. Even if you’re not a fan of any of these people, we seriously recommend checking Fan Video out because of the technicality.
