Tom Anderson, everyone’s default friend on MySpace –I just checked, it still exists!– has finally made the jump to Facebook to check out his largest competitor. Unsurprisingly, he thinks the site SUCKS. And Mark Zuckerberg’s provoking comments sure don’t help.

No inspiration for your Halloween costume yet? What about dressing up as an interactive Facebook profile page? Since the early days of Facebook -when it was still pretty geeky- people have been paying tribute to their favorite social network, as you can see in the Halloween pictures we collected. Can you guess from the layout of the costumes what year they were made?

Last Saturday, Facebook enabled custom profile URLs -also known as “vanity urls”- for user profiles (pages with over 1000 fans). Most people will have just chosen the firstname.lastname option as suggested by Facebook, but if you click “More”, you’ll see a field with the text “Enter desired username”.
