A few months ago, we Googled for the programming information of one of our fave television series, Dexter, and in the top search results was a Google News item with a headline that blatantly mentioned which cast member got killed in the season 4 finale. EPIC FAIL. We hadn’t seen the episode yet.
Porting this to Facebook, it’s not hard to imagine how a friend’s status updates could completely ruin a surprise movie ending. Or maybe this happened to you already? Hey, at least it saves you a few bucks in tickets and popcorn. But Aol‘s Moviefone has gone further and envisioned how certain film scenarios would become worthless and implausible if they’d taken place in the age of Facebook, post 2004. So, if you haven’t seen Fight Club, Terminator 2, Fatal Attraction, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or Star Wars, and would still like to do so, we suggest you don’t scroll down and stop reading.
