Twofifty keeps score of top 250 movies you’ve seen

Remember our Top 100 Movies Facebook note? Now there’s a Belgian-made Facebook application called Twofifty that keeps track of all the IMDB’s Top 250 movies you’ve seen. If you don’t want to brag by auto-posting your score to your wall, you can just compare it to friends who are using the application, or to the average user of the app. But the killer feature for me is that you can see a list of all the top-rated movies you and a chosen friend haven’t seen, which makes Twofifty a perfect tool for organizing a movie night. If the developer would enable comparison with multiple friends, that would be even better!
There’s also a Bottom 100 movie list, but I’m sure most of you will also have a bottom score for this specific list.
I’m a sucker for stats, and currently (based on the application’s 10948 users) they look like this:
Movies seen: 789578
Average movies seen: 72
Top ten movies watched:
- The Matrix (7483x)
- Forrest Gump (7446x)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (7394x)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (7194x)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (7144x)
- The Lion King (7130x)
- Pulp Fiction (7007x)
- Gladiator (6953x)
- Finding Nemo (6921x)
- Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (6861x)
Top 5 movies watched by women:
- The Lion King (2637x)
- Forrest Gump (2576x)
- Finding Nemo (2575x)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2519x)
- Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2501x)
Top 5 movies watched by men:
- The Matrix (4477x)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (4344x)
- Forrest Gump (4287x)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (4252x)
- Pulp Fiction (4242x)Â
My current score is a disappointing 99/250, but it’s still 25 above the average. Be aware that the IMDB’s official Top 250 is constantly changing, so your score might slightly change from one week to another.
