If Facebook Were A City

In one of the most original infographics of the past few weeks, Facebook has been reimagined as a city by the folks at Get Satisfaction. If Facebook were a city similar to New York’s Manhattan borough, its map would contain areas like “Mobile Midtown” ─where 200 million people walk through every month─ and “Central Poke” (get the pun?). The “River of Status Updates” runs through the entire town and some of the hottest neighborhoods to hang out are “Farmville Fields” and the “Texas Hold ’em District”. And no doubt the “Zynga Zoo” comes highly recommend by every tourist information guide.

From the Get Satisfaction blog:

What would this virtual empire look like as a real city? It would certainly be the world’s most popular city, with over 600 million residents, containing many diverse and interesting neighborhoods.

Here’s the map of Facebook City (population: 600,000,000!). In which part of town would you want to live?
